The journal's scope includes, but is not limited to, the following areas: Constitutional Law and Administrative Law, Criminal Law and the Criminal Justice System, Civil Law, Commercial Law, and Business Law, International Law and Comparative Law, Human Rights, Democracy, and the Rule of Law, Islamic Law and Customary Law, Environmental Law and Natural Resource Law, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Technology, Digital Law, and Data Protection, Philosophy of Law, Legal Theory, and Socio-Legal Studies, Legal Education, and the Legal Profession. Every article published by J-AJI will undergo a peer review process by at least one peer reviewer using a single-blind review method to ensure quality, validity, and scientific integrity. J-AJI was first published in October 2026 and is published three times a year: in January, April, and October.
